METRO ART & ARCHITECTURE TOURS
Step inside one of Los Angeles’ most iconic landmarks—Union Station—and discover a rich tapestry of artworks and historic architecture. Designed by father-and-son architects John Parkinson and Donald Parkinson, the station showcases an innovative blend of Spanish Colonial, Mission Revival, and Art Deco styles—now known as Mission Moderne.
Led by Metro Art docents, this free, guided tour explores a diverse collection of public artworks alongside the rich architectural history of Union Station. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the artists, their creative processes, and how public art transforms the transit experience.
BONUS: You’ll also access areas not typically open to the public, including historic interiors and key transit spaces—offering a behind-the-scenes perspective on one of LA’s most dynamic cultural sites.
Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a frequent visitor, this tour invites you to experience Union Station in a new way.
